Learning Through Technology – Innovating How We Teach and Learn
Following the 6th Annual Learning Through Technology Conference in Edinburgh, we're excited the announce the next in the series will be held in London on the 8th November 2018. We look forward to welcoming delegates involved in the planning and delivery of education in Schools, Colleges and Universities across England.
In a recent statement, Damien Hinds, Secretary of State for Education challenged both the UK and Silicon Valley Tech firms to work with the education sector to tackle key issues including teaching practices, assessment processes, teacher training and administration processes. Attendance at LTT London gives delegates a great opportunity to explore the latest technology solutions available to the market that can overcome the challenges that Mr Hinds highlighted, you'll also hear case studies and success stories from peers from the education sector.
Damian Hinds said: I’ve been fortunate enough to see technology being used in revolutionary ways. Students are able to explore the rainforest, steer virtual ships or programme robots from their classroom, while teachers are able to access training, share best practice with colleagues and update parents on a pupil’s progress without being taken away from their main focus – teaching.”
“Schools, colleges and universities have the power to choose the tech tools which are best for them and their budgets. But they cannot do this alone. It’s only by forging a strong partnership between government, technology innovators and the education sector that there will be sustainable, focused solutions which will ultimately support and inspire the learners of today and tomorrow.”
LTT London draws together a great mix of speakers who have played an active role in transforming how technology is used to improve the way we teach and learn. Throughout the day you will have the chance to engage with colleagues, play an active role in the sessions and importantly leave with a clear strategy to the best applications of technology for your setting.
Not only will you be able to meet with colleagues from the education sector, you will also have the chance to meet some of the most innovative technology suppliers who will be on hand to answer your questions and to guide you through a whole host of technology that you can use to transform the way you educate your students.
This is a fantastic opportunity to hear some of the most exciting education technology case studies, create a strategic action plan to support your objectives and get a clearer understanding of the most innovative solutions available to the market.
